IG TOOL Update v1v2.2.0.8
Dear IGTOOL User,
We’re excited to announce the release of IGTOOL v1v2.2.0.8, packed with important improvements to ensure stability and compatibility with Instagram’s updated infrastructure. We highly recommend upgrading as soon as possible.
What’s new in v1v2.2.2.0.8:
- YouTube Shorts Download
Added the ability to save YouTube Shorts from the “Download Posts” menu. - Upgraded AI Engine
Rolled out Google Gemini “2.5 Pro Exp” for faster, more accurate processing. - Core Infrastructure Update
Refactored our backend to fully support Instagram’s latest platform changes. - Enhanced Account Creator
Streamlined the registration flow to eliminate previous hiccups. - Bug Fixes
Resolved all reported issues for smoother operation.
Recommended post‑update settings:
- Enable HTTP/2.0 if it’s an option in your protocol settings.
- In Help & Settings → Follower Listing Version, select “New Version.”
- If you’re using a proxy, switch to a Private IPv4 proxy for optimal reliability.
Our proxy recommendation: IPv6 often causes issues; for a more stable and reliable solution, we recommend using IPv4 rotating.
Please review and adjust these settings to maintain account health and make the most of the new features.
This isn’t just another feature release, it’s a critical backend overhaul to keep your accounts safe and fully compatible with Instagram’s latest app version.
Why v1v2.2.2.0.8 matters:
- Instagram v376.1.x.x.x compliance
Instagram has just rolled out app version 376.1.x.x.x. We now mirror that exact build in IGTOOL v1v2.2.2.0.8 - Connection class shift: Tigon → MNS
After v375.0.x.x.x, Instagram replaced its old “Tigon” connection class with a new “MNS” class and made extensive server‑side changes to support it. With v1v2.2.2.0.8, we’ve migrated every call from Tigon to MNS, so our tool speaks Instagram’s new language byte‑for‑byte. - Account risk mitigation
Any client still using the deprecated Tigon class will be treated as “risky” by Instagram, bots may be flagged, accounts temporarily suspended, or rate limited. They’ve already begun enforcing this, so updating immediately is essential to avoid disruptions. - Rewritten encryption & protocols
Instagram redesigned its encryption methods, updated its communication protocols, and changed many of its most‑used URLs. We’ve fully reverse‑engineered and re‑implemented all of these, so v1v2.2.2.0.8 remains rock‑solid.
Recommended settings after updating:
- Enable HTTP/2.0 in your protocol settings whenever possible, most modern systems support it and it ensures optimal stability.
- If HTTP/2.0 isn’t available, switch to QUIC instead. (We publish a detailed blog post on What is the QUIC Protocol)
- As always, if you run into any errors, open a support ticket immediately. We’ve stress‑tested v1v2.2.2.0.8 extensively, but if anything slips through, we’ll push a hotfix right away.
New YouTube Shorts feature:
You can now bulk‑download all Shorts from any channel—just enter the channel name. During download, each video’s metadata is randomized, so the files you get are uniquely yours and won’t conflict with the originals.
Thank you for your continued trust in IGTOOL. Please update to v1v2.2.2.0.8 as soon as you can to stay fully compatible with Instagram’s backend, and enjoy the new Shorts downloader while you’re at it!
